Peer Review
All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous single blind peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.
Open Access Policy
The Intertwined Journal is committed to immediate open access, making its content freely available to all users. This approach promotes the global exchange of knowledge by removing barriers to accessing, sharing, and distributing research.
Our Open Access Policy ensures that all content is freely accessible online, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles. These materials can also be crawled for indexing or used for any lawful purpose, provided there are no barriers beyond the basic requirement of internet access. The only limitations are related to ensuring proper attribution to the author and preserving the integrity of the work.
The Intertwined Journal operates under a Creative Commons Attribution - Non Commercial-No Derivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license:
- Attribution (BY): Users must give appropriate credit to the author, provide a link to the license, and indicate any changes made. This should be done in a way that does not imply endorsement by the author.
- Non Commercial (NC): The material may not be used for commercial purposes.
- No Derivatives (ND): Users may not remix, transform, or build upon the material for distribution, unless the original work is used unchanged.
Article Publishing Charges (APC)
The Intertwined Journal has a clear editorial policy regarding article publishing charges, which are applied upon acceptance by both reviewers. For articles published under open access, the publication fee is 1500 INR if a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is not requested, and 2000 INR if a DOI is included. These fees help cover the costs associated with the journal's editorial processes, peer review, and maintaining its open access infrastructure. We are committed to ensuring that all research is freely accessible to the global community, and we strive to keep our charges affordable while upholding high standards of academic publishing.
Why do we charge?
The Intertwined Journal is an Open Access journal, meaning all content is freely available to read. As a self-financed journal, we do not receive support from any organizations or external funding. The operational costs of the journal are primarily covered through publication fees. These nominal charges help us maintain the quality and accessibility of the journal, ensuring that it continues to serve the academic community. The fees contribute to the following:
- Hosting and maintaining the journal’s online platform
- Manuscript submission and peer review systems
- In-house copyediting and linguistic support
- Pagination and typesetting of articles
- Registration with Crossref, providing a permanent DOI for articles and facilitating citation in other scholarly works
- Archiving in recognized, open-access databases and repositories for long-term access
